On October 21, 2021, Members Choice Credit Union will join over 56,000 credit unions worldwide to celebrate International Credit Union (ICU) Day. The theme of ICU Day 2021 is “Building financial health for a brighter tomorrow.”

ICU Day highlights the many ways that credit unions across the world help members improve their financial health and well-being. To celebrate Members Choice, will be rolling out the red carpet for their new and improved Financial Counseling Program. The credit union will be providing light refreshments throughout the day, along with informational sessions about their financial counseling program.

“Our members have increasingly expressed interest in learning more about managing their finances. After extensively researching financial education programs, we found certifying our employees and expanding our program was by far the most comprehensive. More importantly, this program, combined with online financial education resources, will provide confidentially and free of charge to members and non-members. This enhancement will enable them to achieve their financial goals as well as walk them through any financial challenges they may face,” said Susan Daniels, Members Choice Credit Union Financial Counseling Coordinator.

Credit unions were built on the principle of “people helping people.” We’ve seen that philosophy in action for more than 100 years, with credit unions providing access to affordable financial products and striving to meet the needs of underserved communities. Members Choice Credit Union is honored to be a part of this proud tradition.

Members Choice Credit Union invites both members and non-members to visit any location and celebrate this day. Members Choice Credit Union will share member stories and event highlights on social media using #ICUDay.

International Credit Union Day is brought to you by the Credit Union National Association and the World Council of Credit Unions. This year’s event is proudly sponsored by Harland Clarke.
